If you're as tough, dependable and efficient as the compressors we make, then you're the right fit for Quincy Compressor. We are currently seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team!  This position will be based out of Bay Minette, AL, located near the beautiful Gulf Coast.

Basic Function

Responsible for communication/liason to customers and Master Scheduler.

Responsible for planning materials for Assembly and Service orders and schedules as required by production and service forecasts and revisions thereof.

Coordinates with other planners and buyers when necessary regarding customer orders not yet in MRP.

Nature and Scope

This position reports to the Master Scheduler.  This position is responsible for the planning and scheduling activities of the brand portfolio products.

Principle Duties

  • Print and prepare passport packages for all recip. lines.
  • Daily planning and scheduling pressure vessels from manufacturer.
  • Communicate with Atlas Copco, Chicago Pneumatics, the customer centers and Master Scheduler on expedites.
  • Prepare daily updates and other communications as needed to customers on product status.
  • Work in BPCS 5 and 6 to look up orders.  Check statuses run queries.
  • Cover for Master Scheduler when out of the office.
  • Review and correct negative reporting.
  • Provide feedback to support customer requests for information.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned to support the production and assembly operations.

Authority:

  • Reports directly to the Master Scheduler
  • Must adhere to the internal controls put in place, as well as maintain an ethical attitude.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or other related field.  Equivalent experience is necessary, if a Bachelor’s Degree has not been obtained.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Computer literacy required.  BPCS 5 and 6 and excel.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of inventory flow and production/manufacturing.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Training Requirements:

  • 5S Training
  • General Safety Training

Physical Demands:

  • Required to be able to move about the facility (standing, walking).

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • While on shop floor, must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes at all times.

Work Environment:

  • Mix of an office environment, with exposure to a plant environment.
