If you're as tough, dependable and efficient as the compressors we make, then you're the right fit for Quincy Compressor. We are currently seeking an HR Manager to join our team in our Bay Minette, AL corporate headquarters. 

Basic Function:
The HR Manager’s main responsibility is to plan, organize, and direct the operations of the HR department and develop and implement policies, programs, and procedures in the Region he/she is responsible. The HR Manager will partner with the BMA Product Company Management Team and other members of the regional leadership team to leverage HR and Safety to drive needed business results. The position will provide support for employees and management in the areas of HR and strategic planning and effectively work with Corporate HR regarding training initiation and other initiatives.
 
Nature & Scope:
The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Vice President Human Resources with dotted-line reporting responsibility to the Regional Vice President Operations.  The incumbent must be able to successfully deal with all human resources matters at the Bay Minette Product Company Manufacuring Facility .  The incumbent must provide for orderly and consistent handling of employee relations, optimizing the company’s position by operating within the highest ethical and legal standards. 
 
Principle Duties:
  • Partner with Leadership Team to drive the Human Resources and Safety functions to solid business results.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals, company goals, and divisional goals as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs in HR.
  • Understand the company’s employee engagement level and drive programs and practices to improve employee engagement including teambuilding, engagement surveys, focus groups, etc.
  • Assist all employees with the interpretation of company policies/procedures. Give guidance as needed.
  • Develop, supervise and/or present training and new employee orientation programs, ensuring proper training records are kept in support of ISO-9001 Procedure.
  • Administration of wage programs, maintaining compliance with governmental wage and hour regulations, participation in job evaluation, and conducts local wage and salary surveys.
  • Administer company benefit programs including vacations, holidays, unemployment compensation, tuition reimbursement.
  • Conduct research into personnel programs and activities, and recommends changes or innovations where desirable.
  • Drive the performance management program.
  • Ensure that annual training is provided on mandatory topics required.
  • Coach and counsel managers and supervisors on Employee Relation issues.
  • Represent the company on any legal issues (EEO, UC, etc.)
  • Participate in various customer, quality and regulatory HR audits.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment laws and practices.
  • Together with the Manager EHS, drive a proactive safety training program and maintain each location’s security and protection programs.
  • Direct employment activities, assuring that properly qualified employees are recruited and hired for open positions.Coordinate selection, promotion and placement of personnel.
  • Develop programs, policies, procedures and controls regarding employment, and analyzes manpower, turnover and other personnel statistics.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly Manpower Report.
  • Back up for processing payroll and HR transactions in electronic databases (currently ADP, SuccessFactors & TimeClock).
 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or Related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years heavy Generalist experience

Work Environment:
  • Mostly office environment with some warehouse or workshop environment, and some customer site visits in the field.May be exposed to a field service environment at customers’ job-sites.May be required to work overtime and weekends as needed.
